Incompetence

I've been making an attempt to add to my del.icio.us bookmarks recently, and to make the best use of the service. One of the categories I'm working to expand is the the one I've decided to call incompetence, which is mostly about how to prevent incompetence in yourself (and tangentially about the ways we can slip up just when we're most proud of ourselves). It's not a long list yet, so I was happy to see an excellent new entry today on kottke called Why smart people defend bad ideas. I highly recommend it, it's a good and thought provoking read.
